Maryland

From Our Hotel Room in Ocean City

Over fall break I went with my friend Jackie to her hometown in Maryland. We left school early on Wednesday afternoon and got to Baltimore about 1:30 in the morning on Thursday. Thursday morning we woke up and travelled to Ocean City and spent a couple of days at the beach. The first day was so nice, but of course, I had a migraine and was stuck in the room throwing up all day. The next day was cold and rainy, but we still went down to the boardwalk and had a ton of fun. I did finally see the Atlantic Ocean, and stuck my feet in it, but it was freezing!

On The Boardwalk

Her family introduced me to all kinds of different east coast food (including the state cake) and "real" pizza. We had a ton of fun in Ocean City, and went back to her house on Saturday afternoon. Her parents live in a farm house that is over 150 years old.. Houses that were built that long ago had a lot more character than houses now!

Jackie and Me

They live only 20 minutes from Gettysburg, so before we had to catch our plane home on Sunday night, we tried to squeeze it in, but I didn't get to see much with only an hour to do it all, so I think I'll go back there next summer!

It was great to have a vacation, and to spend time with such great people! I'll put some better pictures on when I get them from Jackie.. She was in charge of pictures. On the plane home, we had about 40 WWII Vets on our plane. It was cool to get to chat with them, and they were super nice, but it took FOREVER to get them on the plane and then back off in Denver. We didn't get home until 2 in the morning on Monday and had meetings that whole day.. Needless to say, I slept through them.
